"Keep Safe, Dekhab Alor Path" Bangladesh Prisons Department is committed to establishing prisons as correctional and service institutions keeping this vision in front. All the activities in the jail are conducted in public interest and public welfare. In order to facilitate the service activities of Gopalgonj District Jail and for general information, the main main services and rules are briefly described below.


1. Regarding the prisoners coming from the court?


a) Arriving from each prison court would classify the prisoners: proper accommodation would be provided.

b) Sick prisoners are immediately admitted to hospital for proper treatment.

c) Attendance of the under-trial prisoners in the respective courts is ensured on the scheduled dates.

d) If the date of appearance of a prisoner is not fixed, contact the court: Collect the date of appearance in the court

     Attendance is arranged.

(e) Proper custody of money and other valuables kept with new prisoners on their arrival from court.

     Arrangements are made to keep.

f) To provide proper legal assistance to indigent and indigent prisoners by employing direct counsel for obtaining justice.

(g) To communicate with the relatives of convicted prisoners for filing appeals in the High Courts for obtaining justice.

     Jail authorities extend full cooperation.


2. Regarding meeting with prisoners:


a) In the present context, the relatives can meet the Hajti/Qadi prisoner once every 15 days.

b) Permission of the concerned District Magistrate and Judicial Court is required to visit the detainee and safe custody prisoner.

c) In the present context the interview shall be completed within a maximum of 10 (thirty) minutes and a maximum of 01 (one) persons may meet a prisoner.

d) No payment of any kind for visiting prisoners. If someone demands money from Jail Superintendent or Jailer

     notify

e) Mobiles, Liquor, Cannabis, Heroin, Phencidyl, Narcotic Tablets, Firearms, Explosives, Sharp Weapons Money, Cooking

      Food etc. cannot be brought into the meeting room.

f) Prisoners are provided with opportunities to meet with their strategists.

(g) Application should be made to the Superintendent of Jails to meet the prisoners. Those who are not able to write the application form

     Employees on duty in the Reserve Guard will have the opportunity to meet through slips to assist.

h) Generally humanitarian for meetings of prisoners with interview candidates coming from far and wide before or after specified time.

      Permissions are granted from perspective.

(j) To the Reserve Guard located in front of the main gate of the Jail, if any information is required about the prisoner or any person detained in the Jail.

      The acting Chief Jailor may be contacted.

3. Rest system:


a) Every jail has restrooms for interviewers coming to meet the inmates.

b) Restrooms have adequate seating, electric fan, water and toilet facilities.

d) If any necessary news is to reach the office, it should be done through the Chief Jailer on reserve guard duty outside the main gate.

4. How to deposit money on PC:


a) Prisoners have the necessary facilities to deposit money in Personal Fund (PC).

b) If someone wants to deposit money in the PC of the inmates in the jail, they can do money-order by post.

c) Relatives of prisoners can also deposit money in PC against deposit slips personally.

d) This amount may be deposited with the assistance of the Chief Jailer on duty in the Reserve Guard. Any type of money deposit

5. Regarding signing the power of attorney:


a) Power of attorney in front of the main gate of every jail to prevent illegal money transactions on signing power of attorney.

b) Open the basket at regular intervals and hand over to the prisoner's tactician/relative after signing the power of attorney and getting it attested by the appropriate officer.

c) No money is required for the signature of the power of attorney. If anyone claims any money in this regard

6. Regarding Bail/Release:


a) Placing the list of names of bailable prisoners on the notice board in front of the main gate of the release/bail order obtained from the court.

7. Regarding treatment of prisoners:


a) Humane treatment of prisoners in jails is ensured.

b) No punishment is given to the prisoner detained in the jail except for the crime.
